Here is a quick review of LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player. It has a great look to it with sharp and sleek design, that should look fine with any other components you might have. The picture is very crisp and the colors are deep. Darks could be a little better, but only when comparing to blu-ray players three times the price of this one.
The installation was very easy, all I need was three cables to hook it up. All LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player needs is Power cable, HDMI cable and network cable. I dont think this unit will work with wireless home network, because the quality would probably suffer too much. You should also have a USB drive ready to download all the extra content, 2 to 4 GB should be enough, these things get cheaper and cheaper every day.
Here is some technical details:
Blu-Ray Disc player with BD Live and BonusView
Netflix instant streaming ready with Netflix subscription
Full HD 1080p output via HDMI with Cinema mode at 24 or 60 frames per second
Superior audio performance with 7.1 channels with Dolby Digital Plus & TrueHD & dts-HD
LG Simplink connectivity of other LG products using HDMI connection
Overall, I would say this is a good buy considering the price on this LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player of only $599 for a medium price range Blu-ray player.
